Comfort zone
How often do you get out of your comfort zone? Do you push yourself beyond your normal limits? These are questions only you have the answers too.
Pushing your fitness limits can be exhilarating, it can give you a new lease on life and help you live happier, and healthier. Here is a perfect example of reaching goals and getting out of your comfort zone. Trying something new can make you feel better than ever.
My uncle Jayme did his first running event. The Madison Mini Marathon & 5K. He did it with outstanding form and had a great time. His results for the 5k:
- Time: 25:25
- 57th over all out of 686 finishers
- 4th in his age bracket
Now that is an awesome race, and not to bad for being 225 lbs only a year or so ago. Not only has Jayme lost weight, but now he is fit and feeling great. Running never felt so good, so now he runs with his friends on the weekend.
Next year he and I agreed we will do the half marathon together. I look forward to this and many more events with my Get Fit Staying Fit peeps.
Get Fit, Stay fit, and Smile! it’s contagious.
